Henriksen 1st appeared in the film ''It Own't Real life inside 1972, & manufactured his number 1 major appearance around Dog Day Afternoon a few years later. Late films would produce him tremendously better called an actor, especially his role when a mechanical man Bishop in Aliens'' (a character he would go in to play in the third film in the series). He late played Charles Bishop Weyland, a human Bishop's appearance was according to, in Alien vs. Predator.

Around 1996, Henriksen starred in the TV series Millennium, produced by a creators of The X-Files. He played Frank Black, a previous FBI professional world health organization might look at into the minds of liquidator. A series was cancelled inside 1999. Henriksen has recently acted in the ensemble of Into the West, a miniseries executive-produced by Steven Spielberg.
